We would like to advise parents and carers that at the moment we are open from Wednesday 6th January as planned. At present, we are awaiting further information and we are unsure how this will affect our school. A further update will be sent as soon as possible.

Reporting symptoms after the school closes for Christmas Holidays.
Blackhall Primary School will close on December 17th. If your child develops symptoms of coronavirus you must book a test.
If your child develops symptoms up to and including December 19th which result in a positive test up to 23rd December, you must inform the school via email, please, at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Please include the name of your child, their class and the date that their symptoms started, as well as your own contact details.
From Monday 21st December:
If your child develops coronavirus symptoms from Sunday 20th December onwards, they must be tested and, if positive, follow the advice of Test and Trace. You do not need to inform the school of any symptoms which occur after this date.

Parents Evenings with a difference will take place this coming week (beginning Monday 19th October, 2020). Your child’s class teacher will telephone you on the number your supplied at the time agreed. Any questions or problems, please just let the school office know or use the class email.
Your child brought home this letter on Friday 16th October requesting that from Monday 19 October all parents and carers dropping off or collection children, or entering the school yard for any reason, to please wear a face covering and remember to socially distance from other households. Thank you everyone for your cooperation and for helping us to remain fully open.
Durham currently has a Local COVID Alert Level of HIGH – we are placed in Tier 2 of the governments local restrictions. Also with the letter was a poster detailing the Tier 2 restrictions for County Durham. A copy can be downloaded here.
