Mental Health & Wellbeing

What is wellbeing?

Wellbeing is the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.

At Blackhall Primary we believe the wellbeing of our children should be at the centre of everything we do. This includes meeting the needs of parents and those in the community.

What is mental health?

Mental health refers to our cognitive, behavioural, and emotional wellbeing – it is all about how we think, feel, and behave. Mental health can affect daily life, relationships, and even physical health. Mental health also includes a person’s ability to enjoy life – to attain a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience.

At Blackhall Primary supporting children and their families with their mental health needs is of top priority. We believe that a child will not learn if they are not ready to learn. We offer a range of support in school and work with external agencies when needed.

Designated Staff at Blackhall Primary
