Dear Parents
These are strange times – although school is fully open once more, things are very different due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Your children may be finding this unsettling and we urge you to keep in contact with us through the class email and via telephone if you or your child have any worries or concerns.
You will find the latest information about the current school arrangements, free school meals and other updates on the school’s news page here.
To find out more about how we plan to keep our school community safe, please visit this page: How We Will Reopen Our School Safely
If your child shows syptoms of coronavirus in school this help sheet explains what to do next: BPS Parent Help Sheet for Child Showing Symptoms
Your child’s class teacher will continue to keep in touch through the class email boxes. In the unfortunate situation of having to send some pupils home to self isolate due to a positive test result returned, there are resources and general information to support your child’s education at home on the Home Learning pages here.
If your child has additional needs, you may find the information on our SEND Home Learning Support page helpful here.
You may also find this booklet from a Mental Health Support Team useful for talking to your child about Coronavirus and school, and there are activities to help your child understand how they may be feeling. Parent Booklet Covid -19
Please keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on, and if there is any other way at all we can help and support you through this. Our school office number will be answered during normal school hours.
