Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

Blackhall Primary School offers a range of childcare provision which we have listed below:

Childcare and Preschool Provision

Blackhall Primary School offer wrap around care from 7:30am-6pm for aged 2-11 year olds.

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club starts at 7:30am. Children can choose from a range of breakfast cereals, toast or crumpets. There is then a variety of activities for different age groups to choose from such as Lego, swing ball, football, arts and craft and many more. The cost of the session is £2 per child. We do prefer parents to pay in advance for this but realise that in some circumstances this may not be possible. All payments must be made before the session takes place.

After School Fun Club

Children can stay at the after school club until 6pm. They will be provided with a drink and snack. There is a variety of activities for different age groups to choose from including outdoor play, iPads, Lego, toys, arts and crafts and many more. The cost of the session is £5 per child if you book in advance and £5.50 if you book on the day.

2 Year Old Provision

Blackhall Primary School now offer provision for all 2 year olds. This has just recently opened and building developments are taking place. Did you know that if you have a household income of under £16190 a year you are entitled to 15 hours free childcare for your 2 year old? Please contact our school office on 0191 5864049 if you require any further information.

Nursery Provision

Our Nursery is now available to parents 5 days per week. Children from age 3 are entitled to between 15 and 30 hours funded Nursery education. However, in our school parents have the option to pay for additional hours on top of this if they wish. Parents can choose the hours they wish their child to do. This could include half days, full days or a mixture. The cost of additional education sessions is £10 per session. If a child stays all day, the cost of lunch is £4.
